Draw stars instead of bullet points Do a handstand. If you can’t (me neither!), downward facing dog promotes blood flow to your brain. It’s also goofy and therefore harder to keep a frown face. Smile. Show your teeth and give a big grin, even if it’s just to your stuffed animals or your cat. Take a walk. Around your block or just your room. Have dinner with a long lost friend. Build a fort, indoors or out. Buy yourself a small potted plant or flowers. They’ll brighten your day visually and olfactorily. Add some glitter to your outfit or surroundings. Plan a vacation, even if it’s just pretend, to a faraway ice hotel or a tree house in the Amazon. Have a cup of hot cocoa with marshmallows in it. Dance in your underwear to your favorite song. Sing along at the top of your lungs. Wear a dashing hat. Go to the theatre; get wrapped up in the story. Take a long drive in the country. Visit a coffee shop with your favorite book. Have a picnic with cucumber sandwiches and tea. Send a card to a friend in need. Jump on a trampoline.
