We're gearing up for a giant snowstorm tonight and tomorrow morning, so hopefully I'll still have power tomorrow and can just snuggle up in blankets drinking hot cocoa and watching the snow fall.
Here are my loves this week:
My new nephew Quinn!: I got a new nephew on Tuesday. His name is Quinn, he has a full head of curly, brown hair. I'm ecstatic to meet him on Monday!
The stage: Yes, I'm still not over Sunday. I started university as a theatre major and switched to writing my second year in, and I think that was the last time I was on stage, five years ago! Maybe it's because I'm an attention hog, but I do love everything about a live audience and the glamor and grit of backstage.
My Little Pony: I was never a big girly-girl, I played with He-Man toys instead of Barbie and I liked climbing trees and making forts more than playing house, but the one girly toy I always adored was My Little Pony. Maybe it was their unnatural haircolor, or the bright colors, at any rate, love. And since McDonalds has them in their Happy Meals right now, I got one yesterday (Minty) and I've been talking ponies with the Twitter ladies (come join us!). I think I might break out my old ones when I go home for Christmas too. 😀
Baking: Cooking and baking is the best cure for cold, dreary weather I think. The smells and colors and bustling keep you warm and happy. I just have to be sure to have other peope around so I don't eat it all!
Holiday Parties: This week has definitely been whirlwind busy, but it's been great as well. I've gotten to spend time with friends and old co-workers because we all allow ourselves to have some free time right now. And did I mention above about the baking?
Presents: I'm almost done shopping finally. I love giving presents and that feeling when people open a gift and it's just what they wanted. Also, I bought myself a present of Corso Como Booties, and I'm going to take photos and pimp them out to you later, because, well they're pretty magical and my Christmas present to me. 🙂
Mr. Boy: I know, sappy right? But it is truly wonderful to be surrounded and supported so completely by people, and Mr. Boy has been so there for me the past week, while I was freaking out over my costume sewing, freaking out backstage, and cooking for me when I probably gave myself a stress-migraine. He is really great sometimes and I am super thankful for him.
