Finish Something Challenge Responses!

a beautiful finished chainlink necklace via treeflower

It is Monday my loves. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend completely with Christmas cookies and snowmen building.

If you’re new here, each week we pose a creative challenge. The entries are due Sunday by midnight and then we share our projects with everyone the next Monday. This week’s challenge was simply to finish something.

For myself, I finally finished the scarf I started more than a few months back. Evidence:

I made a scarf

Jasmine:
Jasmine finished her lightboxes so she could take better photos for her Etsy creations.

Ah! She’s so cute!

Kevin:
Kevin finished recording his song, “Hands and Knees.”

Keith:
Keith finished his new batch of beer. He didn’t have time to take a photo, so just imagine him steeping bags of wheat malt into an five gallon pot and the delicious smell of hops and malt wafting through the air.

Thanks for all your submissions so far! If you checked off your to do list this week, let us know in the comments!

The upstairs smells like a fresh hoppy feast! The only thing that could make it more delightful would be if you were here to share it with me.

    Eeek yay!
I want to learn how to knit! How did you learn, did you buy one of those booklets from the craft store that shows step by step? Maybe I’ll look for an online video. I crocheted a doily once. Any advice for an aspiring knitter?

Yay for finishing things! I was inspired to finish a second song as well.

My favorite picture of you is the bottom right. I’m not exactly sure what you’re trying to be, but I like.

Jasmine: I need to learn how to make some lightboxes like that. Spill your secrets! Please?

    Keith: Mmmm.

Jasmine: I received a book for Christmas last year, and also looked up a few tutorial videos, but I had to look at about five different explanations before it made sense, although that may just be me being slow, hehe.

Kevi: I want to hear! I think that photo was me getting irritated at boy’s comments on my photogenic-ness.

Kevi, it was really easy, it just took about an hour (mostly because tissue paper and tape like to stick together A LOT. And not necessarily when you want them to). You may want to use a lightweight fabric to cover the sides, I just used tissue paper b/c that’s what I had on hand.
