Things I Love Thursday – February 26th

via Lall

Nachos!: I have been obsessed with nachos lately. The gooey refried beans, cheese and guacamole with crispy chips, ah yum! I’m not sure what it is and I’m pretty sure it’s not helping my get fit resolution, but they’re an amazing food nonetheless.

Tea: I’m sort of giving up coffee. Not exclusively, but I am giving up that cup I used to have every morning and switching back to a daily tea regimen. It makes my mornings much less jarring and wakes me up gently with a warm, slightly caffeinated yum.

“Thank you much!”: I don’t know, it’s a thing I do, and now my friends are too, which makes me really happy. It’s easier to say than a super formal “Thank you very much” and it’s more meaningful than a simple “Thanks!” Plus it’s just a tad quirky, so I feel like people remember your appreciation.

日本語: I studied Japanese in high school and for a semester in college, but I’ve lost a lot of my speaking and reading. So now I’m getting back into my books and re-learning. It’s a lot of fun actually and most of the things I used to know are coming back fairly quickly.

Messy Hair: I tend to only wash my hair once or twice a week. It gets too frizzled otherwise and when it’s unnaturally dyed, the less you mess the better it stays. I need to touch up my roots or dye my hair a different color currently, and it’s been a bit of a crunchy, curly bomb in the morning. I rather like the weird shapes it makes. I should take some bed head photos for posterity 🙂

Runners up: weekend America’s Next Top Model marathons, clothing swap parties, mysterious late birthday presents, laptop time with the roommates, hooping class tomorrow (!!), fresh fruit, spring weather of the past two days.

I’m actually cutting down on the coffee a little myself (a strain as I totally depend on it at times) but I do so love tea!

Vixel: Yes at least it’s a good substitute. I do love an afternoon coffee though, freshly brewed.

Birdie: Yes yes. All that product makes it stick straight up in the air.

Zmaga: Use it! It is fabs.

Sienko: It’s so trashy. I love it. I don’t have TV at home, but at the boy’s I will sit and soak in all the high-fashion/cat-fight/over the top-ness of it.
