Weird Roadside Attractions: One of America’s best quirks is that since the road is king, the roadside attractions are tops, like this Gemini Giant, who used to be a Midas Muffler Man. I worked on a book at work about weird roadside stuff, but this was my first time actually seeing a Muffler Man in real life. He was beautiful.
Being a Yogasaur: Yogasaur (n) definition: being sore all over from intense bouts of yoga but still going to class the next day. I know, I post about yoga a lot, but I love it deeply. It’s relaxing and challenging and makes me strongly physically, spiritually, and mentally. What is there not to love?
Holi: Ever since I saw Holi Ke Din in Sholay (video above), and learned that the Indian Festival of Colors was a real holiday, I have wanted to play Holi. Last weekend I went out to a Holi celebration, wore a bindi, and Bhangra danced my legs off. We didn’t get to throw colors, but it was wonderful nonetheless.
Hot Tubs: Since I’ve been pretty good this week with working out, I’m rewarding myself by sitting in the hot tub at the gym afterward for a few minutes. It helps de-crunch my muscles and makes the workout pains worth it. It’s a great motivator “just go to the gym and you can sit in the hot tub” hee.
Raspberry Hair: True to my spring plans, I am currently a raspberry head. It was late last night, but I promise a narcissistic photo shoot later. In the meantime, people keep stopping by my desk just to see my hair. Awkward and awesome.
runners up: crazy dreams of ships and universal truth, planning a bachelorette party, homemade sangria with the windows open, lady time, cooking, hooping, anxious waiting, postcards with spaceships and aviators on them, lunch in the park.
Y tu mi amor?
