If you haven’t checked out my sponsors page yet, you should definitely take a look at the fabulous local businesses that make what I do easier and more fun!
June was a big month for me and Delinquent Debutantes, as I celebrated one year as a business owner and the school celebrated our second graduating class! We had a huge party with lots of boobies, booze and glitter. We were also grateful to have several local sponsors help out with giveaways and general fabulousness. In case you missed it live, here are the local businesses that rev our engines!
Hair by Shana Michelle Taylor: I’ve heard rave reviews about Shana for a while now, but it wasn’t until May that I finally went in to get her work done myself. Man I have been missing out! Her color work is exquisite! She touched up my roots and then applied a deep blue hue to my lower locks, while toning in an icy blue on top, fading from the roots to the ends. It looks gorgeous and Shana is a complete doll to work with! She gave me some excellent styling tips that are super easy to incorporate into my own styles too. We’ll be collaborating frequently from now on, so look to see my tresses looking more and more amazing!
Photography from La Photographie: You’ve seen my photos and heard me talk about Stephanie before, but really, I love that woman and her photography so much. She’s amazingly skilled at bringing out the gorgeous in women (and men!) while making you still look like you. I’ve learned so much from her about posing, facial expressions and general modeling. Check out her Facebook Page too for regular doses of gorgeous! I’m planning to shoot a fire theme with her sometime soon!
Gift Bags from EdenSong Skincare: I read some rave reviews about this completely handmade, edible skincare and just had to know what the fuss was about. Luckily, Stephanie was keen to let my students and birthday friends in on her secrets and we gave away two giant gift bags smelling of delicious lavender and oozing sugar scrubs, eye creams, and other goodies. I have a small collection that I am now unfortunately addicted to, and will be making another order soon!
Costuming from Performance Studios: Performance Studios is the place to go for costumes in Nashville. They have a giant warehouse full of readymade costumes to rent or buy, and a huge selection of wigs, glitter, false eyelashes, and everything a girl needs for stage. I frequent there from everything from costume ideas, to boas to stocking up on pastie tape. Performance sponsored my graduates with red crinolines and lace gloves for their wardrobes, and gave us an extra set to complete one of our audience member’s!
Massage from The Cottage Massage The Cottage Massage just opened in East Nashville, and it is one of the most tranquil little houses I’ve ever been in. Calming and soothing, Linda Sack immediately puts you at ease. Her touch can be light as a feather or deep into your muscle depending on the pressure you like and need. She’s an accomplished musician and really fascinating woman in my life that I luckily get to see regularly! Just writing about it makes me want to leap onto her table for more touch!
