"It's perfect." He whispered in her ear quietly, tugging her along.
"Smells like the sea." She drifted along, not wanting his grip on her hand to lessen, breathing in the salt air. His lantern was bright but cast an eerie glow on the sparkling walls.
The sound of the rain outside was barely audible; here, everything stood still. He pulled her close to him, barely managing to breathe. She closed her eyes and opened her mouth slightly tasting his own salty skin against her own. They would both be punished for leaving the factory, probably whipped and maybe beaten, but if they didn't dare now, they never would.
